Bill Payments Dashboard

About BBVA Payments

I am currently working in the Global Payments area of the BBVA app.

In Payments, we focus on understanding our customers' needs across various contexts and regions to design solutions that simplify day-to-day payment and collection processes and make consumer financing more accessible.

Part of my daily responsibilities include ensuring that BBVA's design guidelines and patterns follow established design guidelines and patterns, ensuring consistency across platforms. re consistently followed across all products while considering the solutions from various countries when creating a global design.

I closely collaborate with teams in Latin America, ensuring their proposals fit within the overall ecosystem by reviewing flows, providing feedback, and developing new features that meet their needs.

Payments Dashboard

The Bill Payments Dashboard was created in response to users' need to view and manage their bills within a single ecosystem. It allows them to see upcoming due dates, pending payments, and recent transactions in detail, while also providing shortcuts to related tasks, such as paying a new bill or scheduling payments.

This project was carried out following the three key pillars of the bank's relational model:

The user expects the bank to offer products tailored to their individual goals.

This project was led by my team, the Global Team, and I took ownership of it and collaborated closely with squads from Mexico and Argentina to ensure that the needs of both countries were met.

Process

Initially, the México Design Team conducted a research and discovery phase, which we analyzed from a global perspective to shape the insights and develop initial concepts. We then held multiple workshops across the three countries to collaboratively arrive at the ideal solution.

I was responsible for converting the initial sketches into the final flow, reviewing them with the BBVA Design System leads to ensure compliance with global behavior patterns. After this review, I finalized the entire flow, validated it with our Tech Lead, and prepared the documentation and final deliverables.

As the project covered use cases from all three countries, I also coordinated the design with the BBVA Design System leads and ensured that the adaptations for Mexico and Argentina were implemented accurately by my team.

These were some of the challenges I faced while creating a global and modular dashboard design that accommodates the needs of all three participating countries while remaining user-friendly and intuitive.
